about me: My name is Dexter. I'm a 23 year old aspiring screenwriter and cinephile and I've had a limitless passion for writing my entire conscious life. My focus in writing is on screenplays and general writing for film. I started this blog in hopes of maintaining an exercise in variable storytelling and helping myself better hone the skills I require as a writer by telling better stories. I love to make people laugh and hold high regard for comedy and believe that some of the most remarkable writing can be found there. The idea was to connect as many of my friends as possible onto one site so that we could all tell our own part of a single story. The idea was spawned from a book idea my friend Scott came up with while we were back in high school. He wanted it to be a series of raw and outright first-hand accounts from everyone he knew. Eventually the idea fell away and I decided to pick it back up here. On the internet. The idea stuck with me because of monumental and original it was, we weren't just a pack of teenagers who had no idea what we wanted to do with life. We knew exactly what we wanted since we were born. We wanted to be famous, we knew we had something different that we had to tell everyone. So this site was founded in our own honor as we try our best to make our way into your CD player, and onto your screen. Over the years however friends have come and gone but are still around and they'll be dropping in from time to time to tell you how they're doing. But I promise you, I'll always be here. I'll always have my own home on the internet, because there won't always be enough space in our world and we all need a little piece of a world to call our own.
